German-Polish-Czech Educational Cooperation in the Education Network PONTES
German-Polish-Czech cooperation agreement strengthens the euroregional education area
On May 19, 2010 a cooperation agreement was ceremoniously signed between the Education Network PONTES, the Centre for Lifelong Learning in the Liberec Region (Czech Republic) and the Craft and Enterprise Guild in Jelenia Góra (Poland) at the conclusion of the II Euroregional symposium “347 days until the abolition of freedom of movement for workers – Are the people in the the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa qualified for the euroregional economic and labour market?”, which took place in the International Meeting Centre of St. Marienthal.

- The cooperation agreement was signed by (f.l.t.r) RNDr. Robert Gamba (director of the Centre for Lifelong Learning in the Liberec Region), Dr. Regina (director of Education Network PONTES) and Mr. Zbigniew Ładziński (president of the Craft and Enterprise Guild in Jelenia Góra).
This milestone helps to commence a new, important stage in the development of the Learning Region PONTES, that has been established since 2002, and in the cross-border cooperation in the education area in the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa.
For the first time in the history of the Education Network PONTES this cooperation agreement enables the German, Polish and Czech partners to share common goals, to lay the foundations for a close cross-border meshing of educational structures and the corresponding educational offerings with the objective of promotion of an efficient and sustainable euroregional economic and labour market. For this purpose cross-border teams will be established.
Their tasks will be to initiate, support and accompany the euroregional educational cooperations and projects of the PONTES-Network.
