Future through education in the Landkreis Görlitz (the Administrative District Görlitz): With energy and without limits!
The aim of the project “Future through education in the Administrative District Görlitz: With energy and without limits!” is to make successful education possible for every citizen in the Administrative District Görlitz through a coordinated educational system in the field.
Education is of fundamental importance for each inhabitant in the Administrative District and for a successful development of the Administrative District as a whole. The idea is, to use our regional strengths to develop the Administrative District to an “innovative energy region” and to encourage multilingualism in the border triangle of German-Polish-Czech Republic.
People living in the Administrative District need precisely fitting and coordinated educational offers in all phases of their lifelong learning – from education in early childhood through to education in old age. To achieve that, the existing offers should be developed and better interlinked. A close cooperation of all contributors in the area of education is indispensable to ensure the success of the project.
The Administrative District with its concept “Future through education in the Administrative District Görlitz: With energy and without limits!” was selected in a competition as one of 40 German model regions in the program “Learning on site“ and sets out to optimize the educational conditions for every citizen.
The realization of the project takes place together with PONTES-Agency located by the International Meeting Centre in St. Marienthal. The support of the Administrative District is carried out through sponsorships of the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt
The project is also supported by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung [Federal Ministry of Education and Research] and the European Social Fund.
