PONTES-Workshop "Neighbourhood and language"
The aims of the PONTES workshop „Neighbourhood and language” supported by the Euro-Schulen Görlitz/Zittau are: to impart knowledge about the neighbour, speak the language of the people living there and learn to understand it, recognise cultural connections and increase peoples willingness to stay in that region. The objective is to motivate and mobilise people on-site, to discover the region as a quadrilingual education area and to take the therein concealed chances. This aim is implemented in the realisation of various offers for advanced vocational training for pedagogues in child daycares and primary schools to the point of preparation of teaching and learning materials.

- Placements of Polish and Czech students in German daycares
- Working forum on neighbouring languages in the Löbau-Zittau district
- Implementation and monitoring of the immersion method in child daycares (pilot projects)
