Competency Network “Civic Commitment”
In line with the PONTES workshop "Learning by a citizen's community service" a network of voluntary agencies was initially established on the German side of the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa, which particularly act as a volunteer market or a job agency for a community service or civic commitment.
Since then an efficient network of volunteer agencies has been created, which continues to evolve. That means, there are meanwhile 12 contact points which offer placement and consultation services for volunteers, bring together supply and demand, start up and oversee projects, arrange training courses or offer co-operations and finally act as a local lobby for active citizen's community.
Representatives of regional agencies meet regularly in line with the advisory board of the PONTES workshop „Learning by a citizen's community service“, but also in line with other work contexts.
Thus networking and co-operation are furthered and simultaneously a platform is provided for experience exchange, information and advanced training. The networking in turn establishes a stable platform for common lobby work and combines specialized knowledge.
