PONTES-ProfilePASS-Dialogue Centre
Thanks to a continuous process of social and economic change, individuals now frequently find themselves in situations of radical alteration and are therefore challenged to map out their professional as well as their personal future with plenty of foresight.
What is the ProfilePASS?
The ProfilePASS is a tool for the systematic acquisition and further development of individual skills and competence gained in various ways via the process of lifelong learning, all supported by expert advice. In addition to the visualization of learning processes, it first and foremost serves the purpose of individual reflection in the personal and professional paths of life. It was designed as part of a cooperative project within the Bund-Länder Commission for the promotion of educational planning and research.
Local ProfilePASS-Dialogue Centres were established nationwide to ensure the ProfilePASS tool’s quality and its further development. These centres are the interface between ProfilePASS users and counsellors on one side, and the 
national ProfilePASS service point, located in Bonn, on the other.
As a result of the work of the PONTES workshop “Learning in civic commitment” in the sponsored period from 2003-2006 the 
PONTES-Agency, located in the International Meeting Centre in St. Marienthal, has been certified by the German Institute for Adult Education (DIE) as a local ProfilePASS-Dialogue Centre in the East Saxony region.
The training of ProfilePASS consultants - as well as the local concentration of consultants for the purpose of quality management, exchange of experiences and integration into the nationwide operating ProfilePASS system - provide the basis for the activities of the PONTES-ProfilePASS-Dialogue Centre, which directly benefits the people in the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa.
