Stuff position Education
The stuff position Education is directly affiliated with the district administration. Its task is to combine the departments within the district administration which have been spread on different levels of responsibility and to result in a sharing responsibility education management in the Administrative District. Following tasks can be found in the Stuff position Education.
Education Management
Its aim is the development of an innovative and coordinated Education Management on the ground. Therefore it is necessary to combine the educational competencies and activities. Appropriate forms of organization have to be created, which enable an effective control of the processes. This includes especially the integration of all levels of responsibility and action. Additionally, the existing educational offers and advisory services are to be coordinated. The Educational Management still guarantees the availability of information both for citizens and for educational institutions and establishments and industrial representatives.
Educational Monitoring
The Educational Monitoring is a planning instrument which serves to record all educationally relevant institutions and activities in the Administrative District Görlitz – as well existing facilities, planning and structures as projects and cooperations. The implementation takes place by means of a tested set of indicators of the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung [The Federal Ministry of Education and Research] and by use of statistics of the statistisches Bundes- und Landesamt [The statistical offices of the German states in cooperation with the Federal Statistical Office] and figures of department-specific surveys. The data obtained is used as the basis for the first report on education of the Administrative District Görlitz. Furthermore, the obtained knowledge helps to establish an Educational Consultancy focused on citizens, to develop offers in line with needs, as well as to improve the transitions between the educational sectors.
