Synergies between Businesswomen and Unemployed Women
As attractive as the scenery and the culture in the rural regions in the East of Saxony, the regional structures can be as manifold. This region is subject to steady changes concerning economic, social and cultural processes but the consequences are not always positive. The gap between personal prospects and hopelessness is clearly growing. The large share of unemployed women is confronted with a not insignificant amount of self-employed women.
With the help of the project "Synergies between Businesswomen and Motivated, Unemployed Women – the Return to Work", both of these target groups are brought together to hear about the different perspectives of life on both sides. The aim of the project is to give women an orientation for their personal professional return to work with the help of workshops and individual measures to reflect on their personal experiences in everyday life and occupation.
Through the building of solid partnerships between unemployed and entrepreneurial self-employed women, the potential for creativity is supported, barriers and prejudices are reduced and social competencies as well as personal motivation are encouraged. Possible deficits and potentials are scrutinised in different workshops. Also, they will discuss practical approaches to problems and courses of action. The participants have the opportunity to name their experiences as well as their interests and to swap ideas with other people about it.
This project is supported by the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs, central office for the equality of women and men.
